ARCHITECTURE FOR
COMMUNITY-LED SUSTAINABILITY

About us

We are architects caring about the future of our cities. We operate between practice, research and education exploring design questions across varying settings and within an extended collaborative team of other spatial practitioners, academic institutions, local organisations and residents.

We understand urban spaces as fragile ecosystems under environmental, financial and social threats. We believe that shared responsibility and care are instruments towards more sustainable cities. We believe existing practices and local knowledge can teach us new ways of relating to our environments.

Our methods are site-specific and vary, but they are generally based on long-term fieldwork and community engagement. The design-research projects' aim is to facilitate long-term frameworks which remain in place for participants upon their completion.

Inclusive, sustainable, equitable and caring urban ecologies are incompatible with the current professional paradigms. We are committed to challenging these disciplinary boundaries through workshops, research, education and projects which reflect on the way we interact with urban spaces, domestic environments, and the world around us.
